MGWENYA BAPTIST CHURCH

Situated in the Mduku region of Zululand, this recently planted rural church only took occupation of its new building about a year ago.

Growth has been steady under the leadership of their pastor.

He, together with other leaders, recently planted a Baptist Men’s Conference, the first one of its kind in this region. Over 60 men of all ages attended. Praise God. It was my joyous privilege to be the visiting speaker. My assigned topic, “How can a man be intimately connected to God?” In a three-hour workshop, we opened the Scriptures together, enjoying the influence of God through the convicting and edifying power of the Holy Spirit.

At the close, the men were invited to covenant, God helping them, to live lives which would portray a Christlike example in all areas of their influence. Without hesitation, every man stood on his feet, indicating a new resolve to be agents of change for the Glory of God in their communities.

Fellowship, feasting, distribution of ESV Bibles to those who did not possess a bible of their own, and planning occupied the rest of the day.
